New Lense on a Budget

Ok the boss says I can purchase a new lens with a limit wouldn't want to push past $300 i know thats not much but can I get anything that will help.. I am very amature with a digital rebel, 420ex flash, 30-80 canon and a 70-300 ultrasonic canon. I need to take some pictures on Thursday inside a barn that is poorly lite with flourscent lights. Any suggestion or help I need to order this first thing in the morning to get it here by Thursday. B&H says they can get it here. Any other places i need to check.

i have heard great things about the Tamron 28-75 F2.8 XR AF. it is just a tad above 300.

if the barn is tight and you need wide angle the canon 20mm or 28mm primes are around that price, they are fast, and the prices are excelent! :wink:
