My friend (school mate), she has her site up and running, it's a SHE

what do you guys think.. don't be too harsh, she's on the other side

do share some comments on her images.

Personally, i find that the scenery and nature section is decent, lacking a little in the portfolio section... mainly to do with lightning.

as far as I know, 95% of the EXIF data are intact

the images are all work safe, nothing to worry about

what do you guys think about her eye for photography.

Nice page!
I don't like the fact mouse pointer doesn't change when hovering over links.
Nice clean and simple design!

It seems a bit basic 1998esque to me. The use of tables went out of fashion years ago, and if you were to try and do things "properly" you'd use CSS rather than HTML to organise content.

I agree with the mouseover thing.

The black bar between the main menu and the pictures/sub-menu's doesn't look quite right - perhaps making it a different colour or rounding off the corners between the top menu and the main content section would help?

In IE the mouse pointer does change - it seems like bad coding on whoever designed it's part. The W3C validator throws up 10 errors for the front page, which is quite high for such a simple page, but I guess it's not too bad.

Out of interest, was the site designed in something (dreamweaver, word...) or was it coded by hand/taken from a template?

Great website IMO. Simple and clean

Yes, I like how clean and simple the website looks itself. The black bar between the navbars bugs me, and I think that the two nav bars should look the same.

As to comment on her photography she seems to be a photographer at this state. She could use a little post processing in the images as to straighten out horizons (http://http://audreykphoto.com/Assets/AKScenery/Sunrise1025w.jpg) etc.

The rule of thirds isn,t always just a guideline, it can sometimes turn an ok (http://audreykphoto.com/Assets/AKScenery/Sunset1022w.jpg) picture into a great picture.

Now this may be personal preference, I find that pictures with the subject stretched from one corner to the opposite corner (http://audreykphoto.com/Assets/AKMisc/Drummer1034w.jpg) can be nice, but they can get old pretty fast when used to often in your portfolio as I find them having limited use when printed.

I'm curious if she has actually sold any prints yet from her site. I'm interested in doing this myself, but am curious what other photographers' experiences have been going at it by yourself rather than some service. Thanks!

I like it, but I agree with being 10 years back on style. Hey, saves on bandwidth though, right? The biggest thing I have a problem with is, if I was a potential customer and maybe I wanted some senior pictures of my kid done by her, for example, I don't even know where she is from. What state is she from? Is she even from the US? I mean, I know she is from Daytona Beach since that is where you are from and she is your school mate, but how else would I know that? I can't find it anywhere. I think the photos are fabulous by the way... she knows how to use a camera and she has a great eye. Great color in her photos. She should continue doing this.

Oh and by the way, do you know where "a scenic tale" was taken in the scenery section of her portfolio? I'd have to check, but I'm pretty sure I've got a copy of that in my Florida - Orlando Themeparks series... am I close?
