I love the composition! The shadows are exquisite. I'm bothered by how much is blown out. My brain is having a hard time reconciling the wonderful shades of detail on the left, and the almost abstract flatness on the right.
After looking again a few times, I'm getting more used to it, but not without working at it.
Is there any more information in the original shot on the right side? Any way to recover the highlights while keeping the overall contrast?

Thank you rusty,, I too was a little worried about the hit spot, I tried cropping in tighter on the right to eliminate, but decided I liked the lines on the far left more, it was a early morning sunrise and obviously the sun was right there,, ;)

As mentioned above the hotspot is a little distracting but I agree with your reasons for not cropping it out.

Gorgeous shot. I must be one of the few that likes the blow-out. Gives it a tremendous sense of mystery. Great detail and perspective. Mind if I ask the body and lens use in this?

Great shot. Although it would obviously be better in a technical sense without the blow out on the right, it still works. What I'm saying is, there's enough good stuff going on in the picture that the blow out doesn't hurt it too much.

I don't consider the bright spot a detriment at all in this. It creates mystery, as mentioned above, and a sense of activity.
