Here's a male Ruddy Duck on-the-move. This duck spends most of the time on, or under the water. They like to dance across the surface flapping their wings wildly. Thanks for looking...tom

Nice action shot. Spanish ornithologists don't much like this species. There is a captive population in the Wildfowl Trust at Slimbridge UK. It is believed that some escaped, finding their way South to the exceedingly rare Spanish white headed duck population and, erm diluted the stock...

I like the way you were able to stop the action in the shot. Hope I can do as well when I get to doing some water bird photography.
