Has anyone used any of these build your own website companies?
1. http://www.ifp3.com/photography/examples.cfm
2. http://www.fototime.com/fotostudio
Thinking about doing one of the two or just build my own custom site. Trying to decide.

For what it's worth I did the ten day free trial on IFP3 and I really liked it. I bought into it for a year. I have already sold two prints from it, with minimal marketing. I am by no means a pro, but I figured for the cost it couldn't hurt, and this way my images are out there in front of folks instead of sitting on my hard disk at home doing nothing!
My website is www.alspix.ifp3.com (http://www.alspix.ifp3.com) - feel free to check it out - nothing real fancy, just easy to build and navigate.
Good luck!
Al

My site (below) is also a bludomain interface. They are having a sale until January I believe with any interface for $400... that could be half off, depending on which interface you chose. Mine is Jinky, fwiw.

Blu's CS is hit or miss... if you are lucky and get the hit... it's great. BUT LOOK OUT if you get the miss... it's colossally bad! I've heard of clients being sworn at by the CS reps! I took the gamble as I really wanted a blu site, and from what I could gather, most of the folks who've had terrible experience, also hosted with them. I choose to host with Bluehost.com and I've not had any real issues. In fact, the only issue I've had is that I upgraded to Leopard, and there is an incompatibility issue with blu's image uploaded that still isn't remedied. So I reinstalled Tiger on a partitioned disk and I'm good to go... it's a pain, but it works.

I'll give another vote for Bluehost.com. I've been with them for about a year now and have no complaints. Since I don't have the expertise, knowledge or time to do my own coding, I hired a designer to do my site and then upload it Bluehost. They were extremely pleasant on the the phone during my initial Q & A, and also happy to explain a lot about their operation; nice folks.
That service is located on the old WordPerfect campus in Oram, Utah so they're semi-central to the U.S.
