The yellows and greens in the Jay shot add some nice complimentary colors the the bird's blues. Nice one!

Great shots Gary :).......our RHWP's are still staying in the tops of the trees trying to grab the last of the pecans and what few Jays we had.. I haven't seen in a while (I think the brat across the road has used them for target practice :mad:

Two dandy birds...the jay shows well against that background. Both show nice color and detail ...that wooodie looks similiar to our Gila but with a bit more color on the head. Well Done!

I like both shots, you did a good job of bringing out the red and blue colours respectively in each bird. #1 is probably the better of the 2, as I think the branches in the background in #2 are slightly distracting (can't always be helped as they say). I'd be stoked with shots like this.
