email notifcation of posts mixed up

I keep getting email notifications of threads that I have never posted on and don't particularly want to follow....

....any ideas why this might be and how I can sort it. I'm more worried that I am not getting notification of threads I have posted in.

Try this:

Set off "always notify me of replies" in your profile and then edit your messages you need to be notified about: there is a checkbox for each message for getting notification on reply.

I think the automatic notify (profile) is messed somehow in PhpBB.

If you still gets lots of bad notifications, I can manually delete roque notifications from database related to your username - this action will delete all (real and roque) notifications, i.e. reset the situation.
