Hy everyone,
I am quite new to this forum . I have an A75 Canon digital camera.I have Canon digital camera solutions V17.1 .I have instaled zoombrowser EX on my laptop Fujitsu Siemens that is running Windows XP professional with SP1 on NTFS file system . My problem is that in the Folders section I have only the" search result" and I can't view any picture from my harddisk . On the same laptop in other partition I have a win 2000 professional installed for some application that does not support XP. Instalation under win 2000 pro NTFS is working fine. I have updated the zoombrowser to 4.6.1.35 but the same problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled on other place on disk . The same result.
If somebody encountered the same problemand solved please help

Can't help you, I'm afraid except to say that it does run on my Toshiba Portege M205, Dell Latitude C400, and Intel 865PERL, all on WXP Pro with SP 1 and now SP2.

Try logging in under a different user name and loading ZB. If it works fine doing that, then your user account may be corrupt.

I was reading this thinking I have an answer for that, then remembered Iv graduated from lurker to member :)
I don't use ZoomBrowser. Its slow, and IMO pretty much useless.
I also had similar problems to what your discribing on my old comp with XP, and again had similar problems with my new one.
Resinstalling ZB would fix the problem, but only for a short period of time.
I now just use XPs own folder formats to keep all my pics, and access my A80 from the "my computer" folder, where it shows up as a removable drive. I don't know if the A60 surports direct connetion to XP, I know my A40 didn't, but I got around that by useing the generic Twain32 driver avliable from the canon website.
Then its simply a matter of changing your folders to "picture folders" and XP even puts a lovely thumbnail on each folders Icon for you and the XP picture viewer loads faster and lets you view the pictures in any size you want.
Transfers from the camera are just a matter of copy and paste, and since they don't go through the ZB software IMO they are quite a bit faster.

Indeed on other account is working fine. In what way may the user being corrupt since I do not have any other problems than with zoombrowser. Can the account be repaired ?

Well, I wish I could spend the hours it might take to check the system files and/or causes of this corrupt user account, but it's a holiday weekend and my wife would probably kill me. What you can do is copy your My Document files and folders, any IE preferences, etc, and the contents of your My Pictures folder from the corrupt user account to a new user account, then delete the bad account.

are you sure it isnt a permission thing ? eg the user under XP is not a power or administrator so cant see other peoples files ?

I have created a new user called photo that is working and is power user ( administrator) like the one that is not working. So I don't think that is a permission problem .
