What file format does everyone upload. Just starting out and not sure what the heck I am doing. I have read most of the threads about zenfolio. Just a little unsure. Thanks for the help.

So far so good. Not sure how to set everything up. Going thru all the other threads now for hints.

Jpg here as well, although they allow upto 24MB files with premium, I upload hi rez, to allow for print ordering etc. it's a nice offsite backup strategy as well...

jpeg here as well.

Cool thing is that you can upload your original sizes, no re-sizing needed.

I upload JPG files because of the smaller file size. I am on my first year of the Basic plan, so I have a 1 GB limit. If I was on the Unlimited plan and needed a place for backup or storage, I would probably upload TIF files.

I upload my jpegs full size and I can upload pics really fast on zenfolio.

Good thing with them is that if your harddrive at home gets fried or something bad happens, you have your backup on zenfolio. Original file sizes and everything!

I wish there's a better way to mass download original files instead of click one by one.

Not sure if I understand the problem. I just open a folder, highlite all the pics I want to upload (hold Ctrl) and then drag the load into the upload zone. Then go to the next folder and repeat if necessary. Finally hit "upload" and wait.

Do you mean upload a whole folder? That works too, simply click on the folder and drag it. All the pics in that folder appear in your upload zone.

yeah just drag and drop. i upload hundreds of photos at a time that way really fast.

just open up to what pics you want to upload and select all and drag and drop onto the uploader. simple but if you need help pm me and I can take you through a step by step process

Yeah, the drag&drop for uploading is great but can you do the same for downloading too?
My question above was for those that also use it as an offsite storage. How do you download the whole folder that you uploaded via drag&drop.

Maybe there's a FTP option?

OOps, now that question makes sense :D

Anyway, I got the answer for that case too: you can download a whole gallery or even your whole account with their downloader.
