Can someone please tell me how to extract a pair of shoes out of a picture? I took a Christmas photo of a mom and daughter and the mom had took her shoes off and put them under the bench they were sitting on. I did not notice it until I put them on my computer later. I have CS3, but I am still learning. She is coming to see pictures friday night, so I need help quick.
Thanks,
Teeny

Very easy. Clone the white floor over the black shoes. When you have a consistent background like that it makes it easy.

I tried the clone, but when I clone over the right shoe it shows up the wood leg on the bench there for some reason. Any suggestions?

You have to be careful where you chose to clone from. When you place the cursor and press the alt key that distance is where it is being cloned from. So if you place the clone tool halfway between the right shoe and the leg and then clone out the left shoe it works fine. But when you move to the right shoe the cloned from area moves to the right as well. Just reselect the cloned from area and keep working.

Thanks Eric. I will try that in the morning. Its getting late here. I will be working on these tomorrow. For the most part all are good. Mainly just this shoe problem.

It would look better if it was straightened as well. Cute shot.
