Those are some pretty nice shots. Nice and clear with a hazy background. Did you do any special processing to cut through the haze or was the lighting just set up like that?

No post processing other than adjusting the exposure slightly on some of them.

Shot using a canon 50mm 1.8 prime with my 30D

Nice clear shots and it's always great on the forum when someone posts pics from the venues that I go to.

I like Hard-Fi, but my daughter doesn't, so we went to the Kaiser Chiefs show at the SECC on Thursday evening. It was an excellent gig, but I doubt any of the pro photogs got pix remotely as good as yours.

I was only told I had a photo pass for Kaiser Chiefs pass at 7:30 but did not check my mail til after 10pm by which point I had missed the gig. Was a little annoyed.

I shoot all the Main gigs for Barfly and same with the CPL Gigs.

You shoot much around glasgow? Use any of the studios or anything?

No wide shots ... would be nice to see the stage/kit layout. Also be nice if they were bigger. NTL, nice captures.

It's a pity you missed out on the Kaiser Chiefs, but between the excessive number of security folk present and the fact that Ricky came down to the barrier for the first(!) song meant that most of the photogs were struggling to get any shots at all. The one in front of me was sweating so much I thought he was going to have a heart attack or something.

I'm really, REALLY, old, no-one's ever going to give me a pass to shoot a show . The only pics I get are from the audience side of the barrier with one of my p&s cameras. My daughter applies for credentials only when she doesn't feel the need to be at the front for a show. The last one she did was Taste of Chaos at the Carling on November 24th. Sorry, if I misled you into thinking I'm actually a photographer. Anyway, at the moment I have a plaster cast on my right hand, so I can't even manage snapshots!

Yeah figured there would be a large number of photographers.

Ah you are never to old to shoot gigs. Last night at HIM was enough to show me that.
