My focus in this image was on the nose of the aircraft,

What is the small green flare on the nose of the aircraft as this appears on a few of my shots too and just wondering if it is something I am doing or not or a camera setting?.

It's just that, "Flare." Notice the open light source almost smack in the middle of the frame? The green flash (as well as the large blue blob just left of the light) are due to having a direct light source in the frame. Avoid those and it will help mitigate flare.
