Is it bad for the camera to sit in a cold car? I like to keep my camera with me all the time but its winter now and i wanted to know if it was bad for the camera to sit in a cold car?

it will definitely shorten battery life, and possibly cause condensation if you bring it to a warm room right after sitting in the car (especially for long periods)

Well, if you try using it while it's cold, battery life won't be great. If you let it warm up to room temp. (inside a closed plastic bag, which you put it in before you bring it inside - condensation) before using, battery life won't be affected that you'll notice. We used to keep batteries (especially once mercury button cells were outlawed) in the freezer along with the film to extend their life.
