CF card error+Error 99

Hi,
Yesterday when trying to download some photos, the camera seemed to freeze when downloading images. So, I removed the card and used a card reader which worked at the time. Now trying to use the camera today, I get a CF error upon startup and when trying to reformat the card I get a Error 99. Is it likely my CF card or the camera. I don't have another CF card at the moment, but I will try to borrow another soon. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you have to test it with another card first. Also, does the camera ERR99 without a card present?

Nope, no err99 without card.

You want another card even if this one's OK. They're ridiculously cheap, so get one or two 2 GB Ultra IIs at least.

Try reformatting the card in your computer, then copy a full card's worth of data onto and off of it a few times using the card reader. If no problems show up, either the formatting cleared things up or the camera's the problem. In either case, a second card will let you confirm the nature of the problem.
