A shot from a local break.... nothing special just to show how big it was, shooting was tough with a ton of mist in the air... more to come
Thanks for looking

Ah, I see it. Not being a surfer myself, common sense told me no one would actually be able to go under a wave that big! If I was on a tiny little board and saw a wave like that coming at me, I would just make peace with my certain death! Learn something everyday.

The duck dive allows the wave to go over you and you pop out the other side..... as long as you dont leave it to late and the wave breaks on your back

This is about the largest surf you are able to duck dive. to much bigger and there is just to much water ( and too much board under you) to get through.

Any more shots from big wednesday? I didn't get a chance to see any of that swell - getting off of work at 5pm really sucks during the winter!

Incredible shots!!!!! I would love to surf that wave. I would be pooping a gold brick at first though, and an even bigger one if I was the surfer ducking that wave, he is a little late going under, so it looks, and might get sucked back over the "falls" (been there, done that got the t-shirt LOL) . That wave is probably 4-5 feet bigger than anything I have ever Surfed, I live on the Gulfcoast of Florida, and travel East a lot, but we just don't get that size, and period of Swell.

Great Shots, thanks for sharing. The bellyboarder got the ride of his life. I'm certain he would love to have that hanging in his living room in full living color. A ride and picture of a life time.
