I am looking to have a logo made for my new photography business. I have noticed that some users have gone through Design Outpost at www.designoutpost.com. Does anyone have an opinion on this organization? I see that you can offer money to get a logo. The minimum being $125. Do you all think that you get a bigger return on investment for offering more money? How many designers will bid on your job?

Thanks

There are many photographers I have acquaintance with using/or have used designoutpost.com

I would recommend them purely on the work I have seen come from there.

I am actually going to use this service myself... SOON! :)

There are a lot of threads on logos & business cards here to help if you decide to try doing it yourself.

If you do a "Advanced" forum KEYWORD search in "Search Titles Only" for a phrase in "KEYWORD(s)" with the quotes if it's a logical progression of words, (like +"depth of field") you will find a lot of help. This will put the threads that contain both at the top of the list, with threads that have one word or the other lower down.

I have used www.elance.com many times. You should check it out!

Most of the wedding photographers I know use them and have been pleased with the results. I'm planning to use them myself in the very near future.
