And why? Looking at monolights, this will be for a small studio- 15WX18LX14H. I've come down to these two manufacturers, and I'm leaning toward Hensel. Does anyone have experience with both? Thanks

Which car...Mercedes or BMW? Both are good products, well respected by pros the world over. Each has pros and cons (Profoto = heavy) (Hensel slower recycle time than Profoto). But you should go in and handle each, look at the control layout, etc. since much of the selection is subjective in nature!

Picking up a Hensel lighting right in January. Profoto is just out of my reach right now.

That's the set I use. I bought an extra light to make it a 4 light setup. I love these lights. The 300 watt modeling lights really give"what you see, is what you get" lighting. I just recived the Hensel Beauty Dish from Adorama yesterday. I just set it up, but haven't shot anything yet. But, the light from it is soft and very smooth.
I also looked at Profoto and tried a set, but really like the Hensels better. It's more a personal taste thing though.

Many commercial studio shooters use them. But you probably won't see them posting on forums cause they are too busy shooting photos and making money.

I just bought the two light kit for these. I was thinking of the 3 light kit, but I couldn't figure out why they were $1K more. I can practically buy 2 or the two light kits for the cost of one 3 light kit.
