I have Windows XP and ZoomBrowser EX 3.1
I downloaded the ZoomBrowser EX 3.2.1 Update, and when I try to open it I get this message: "config nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application."
I can choose "close" or ignore, and I cannot load the program either way. I wonder if I have some settings in windows that are wrong? Please help!
Thanks so much..Michael

I haven't a clue on how to correct this problem. What I may suggest though is that if you are using XP, the camera wizard is much faster and simpler for downloading photo's from your camera. I personally removed Zoombrowser from my computer because I don't like it and have had better software come with cheaper camera's.
However, that's my personal opinion.

That kind of makes the light turn on. I don't really like ZoomBrowser either. I think I will use something else.
Still kind of bugs me though...that I am getting that 16bit error.
Thanks!

My only suggestion is to uninstall ZB3.2.1 entirely and reinstall ZB 3.1. IMHO there is not a lot of difference between 3.1 and 3.2.1. Some say its more stable (and that wouldn't take much!) than 3.1. I use ZB because I have used it for two years and have had no problems in the last year. Others use Breezebrowser which you can find on the web.
Good luck

Thanks Sheila,
At this point, I think trying to upgrade ZB is more trouble that it is worth.
By the way your pictures of the Storm over Sydney Harbour are stunning.

For the first time in a long time, I had a big problem with ZB. After editing, using Fred Miranda's great actions and placing my edited images (61 of them) in a new folder on ZB, and often checking out the new folder, all OK, and when placing my last, yes, last, image into the new folder - cannot locate folder. It had gone. Much tearing of hair and deleted expletives regarding Canon software, I restored database in the hope that it would restore images. Watching the bottom of the screen during the restoration, I noticed that the missing image folder was attached to another folder. Why, I don't know. I refreshed that folder and voila, there are my edited images - phew! Why ZB did this, I've no idea. Moral of the story - use another software which I am about to do.
Cheers

Use ZB 3.3 on Windows XP Prof without any problems. Doesn't make the software any better though.

RAW format problem:
There are sometimes photos in RAW mode that Zoombrowser or TWAIN refuses to open. They transferred fine from Camera, EXIF is intact, thumbnail is correct, but zoombrowser says only "internal error" when trying to open them. When you rotate the image in camera and trasfer it again, it opens! There has obviously gone something wrong with the packing/opening algorithm. There an utility which can "force" decoding of RAW images that are maybe damaged
Maybe its of any help
