Does this actually have some good lines, or is it just a blurry mess?

It was just a luck shot from the driver's seat.

Blurry mess imo. I would prefer a longer exposure with something in focus (dash, etc)

Nothing really to look at there. When traveling at night always keep a tripod handy when you get that itch to take a photo.

You have to use a tripod with a shutter being open that long. otherwise its just too distorted.

It's not full of terribly exciting pictures, but the text is quite informative and inspiring. In fact I was reading it until a few minutes ago. He really gets into light, form, line and colour near the end.

One of his suggestions was to do what you actually did in the above posted image.;)
