I would like to use one of my photos as a background for some of my Microsoft Word memos. I'm using Photoshop Elements II and can't seem to figure out how to get my word file as a layer to put over the background. Can this be done? I'm now printing the background first and then placing the paper back into the printer and printing the memo, is there a better way?

If you are trying to get the image on the paper full bleed, then I find it difficult. If you are trying to get the image just within the document margins, then it is easier. Maybe you are trying to get the image to show up faintly, like a watermark. Word can handle that.

Yes, I'm tying to get it to look like a water mark. Can it be done and how?

I don't know what version of Word you have. On mine, I go into the Help menu and do a search for "watermark image", and it has a procedure to build it.

Thanks, I was trying to insert it and it wasn't working until I linked it and then everything was fine!

Some dweeb in Redmond Washington can rest easy now that somebody is finally using his help procedure in Word.
