There was a fairly heavy POTN presence over in the Lake District today. The weather can only be described as....bloody cold & wet after starting with heavy rain then graduating to heavy snow mid-morning. Yours truly was heard to observe that the connection between cars and "Global Warming" was utter rubbish and anyone who tells me otherwise will be severely beaten with a Manfrotto Monopod !

Anyway, on to the piccies as it's a Photography forum.

1. David Shuttleworth / Simon Megaw in a '98 Mitsubishi Evo 4. Apparently David is a Forester in Grizedale..Must be an advantage as they finished 2nd.

2. Well you've got to have a 6R4...

3. 1st of the obligatory RWD Escort shots. A MK2 RS2000

4. Something to wake Glenn from Hibernation..A Sunbeam Ti

5. Old shape Imprezas are becoming like old Escorts..only not as nice to look at.

6. Probably my favourite shot of the day. MK1 Escort in the Snow.

7. Skoda Favorit. Always nice to see but it would be nice to see an old RWD one or an Octavia WRC.

8. Ford Ka. Just exactly how DO you say "Ka" anyway?..

Conditions were "challenging" to put it mildly. Very dull early on and then the snow came down. 1 or 2 of the above have had a bit of Levels adjustment but other than that it's just a case of re-size and sharpen a bit.

Kit was the 1DMK2N and Sigma 120-300 with a Large StormJacket doing the protection.

Thanks for looking in. Comments/Questions/suggestions/cash/beer appreciated as always.

There's a silent 'k' on the end ;) I was one of 8 people in one during a McDonalds drive through. Not pretty.

Have 10 points for being first to put them up, I can't decide on a favourite though, all very nice!

Great shots, I live about 20 mins from Grizedale but couldn't bring myself to brave the awful weather. Well done.

Very nice Geoff, the first and last being my picks from this bunch. Do you know it was 8 deg C warmer driving home from Newcastle at 2300hrs than it was when I got back to the car in Grizedale at lunchtime

Cheers,

Simon.

Nice shots Geoff, how much further up the stage is that corner from where you passed me and Simon? To say the conditions where "challenging" is a bit of an understatement they were bloody diabolical, wished I'd stayed in bed on Saturday morning.

Cheers

At least you'll be using a decent bit of kit to beat the tree huggers with :lol:

Great pics Geoff, and the MkI and the Ka'rap are my favourites.....

It's not that far Ian. I think it's 2 corners back from where we left you & Simon.
