For those of you who may be sitting on the fence or still saving for a 1DMkII this is a good review for you.

To those of you that already own a 1DMkII, read this review and bask in the light, of the knowlege, that you own one of the best DSLRs made....in case you did not already know this. The author of the review is David Bergman-contributing photographer for Sports Illustrated. Here is an interesting quote from the review, "If you need evidence that it's in a league by itself, consider that SI replaced all of its EOS-1D bodies with Mark IIs."

Cheers,
Rob

why would anyone go with a mainstream tech review site like CNET for reviews on Pro equipment when there's dpreview that is much more knowledgable geared toward the subject. It's like me reading reviews on Sony HDCAMs CNET. WHAT A JOKE!

I put more stock in the fact that the review is written by a pro shooter who has used the camera for the past few months. Mr. Bergman is the one who developed the Sports Illustrated Suggested Settings that many of us use for the 1DMkII. That is of interest to me. The fact that it appears on CNET is secondary or inconsequential, IMHO.

I wasn't aware of this. If indeed the author of these pro still cams is by someone with respectable credentials. Then by all means, read on. I was only speaking from experience after reading CNET's digital camcorder reviews.
