Cool shot of a very cool car. Is this really just an everyday traffic car, or is this more for say like the DARE program or police awareness type thing?

It's an everyday working car for my division but it will also be used for parades, recruitment drives, public events, traffic escorts, ect. We are still working on the inside and some finishing touches, but we used it this week to escort our high school football state champions home. One of the things my division handles is technology items for our department, so it will also showcase the newest items in that area of police equipment. And it's not just pretty on the outside, it's had some serious mods to the engine including a nitrous system. I guess you could say it's a working show car.

The main goal of this project was to make something that would be like an "ice breaker" for positive interaction with the public. It certainly is accomplishing that and the best part is that no public funds were used on the modifications as everything has been donated by businesses and individuals.

Nope, actually, it's a standard police package Charger with alot of mods inside and out.

note to self: Do not get in car chase in Alabama, some police cars have Nitrous oxide. :p

I wish the Shreveport Police had Chargers. The Shreveport City Marshal's office has them and I love seeing them on the freeway.

they pretty much ruined that charger with all the gay colors and decals, but that is definitely better than the crown vic you were hoping for!

the new chargers are definitely nicer then the boring crown vics.

the regular police package, is it the V6 or V8? Just over a year ago the police department I dispatch for got a demo charger to test out. The guys were in love with it, the acceleration blew the crown vic out of the water.

I'll stick with my beater of a Crown Vic...the Only thing new on my car is the lightbar. Our Dept. decided to stay with Police Interceptors just because the Charger they gave us to demo was horrid on our backroads.

Yea, bumpsteer is a killer, I have to go at or under the limit on rough roads in my Stang just to keep it in a straight line.
