Does this work?

Any suggestions or comments welcome.

Howdy Clio,

Maybe it's just my eyes at 6am, but the DOF seems odd. The rear petals are sharper than the close ones, and the stem seems sharper than the rest.

At first I thought you were emphasizing the little guy flexing his bicep (that's my G-rated interpretation of the lower-right-hand appendage -- hey, I've seen your flowers before... :D ).

But then I noticed that your CCG watermark is blurred, and I can't figure out what's going on. Maybe I need more caffeine?

Did I miss the point entirely? (That's highly likely!) If so, I apologize.

P.S. I really do like the flower, the colors and the off-centering. Very simple and clean, and putting the subject so far off-center gives it an interesting, dynamic feel.

---->I tried focusing on the middle part of the flower, between the petals. I hoped this would make the petals slightly blurred and give them a soft, dreamy look against the black background. Oh well. You live and learn, right?

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Mitch. :)
