Bees - New to macro and photography

Hey, new to the forum and photography. Got my first camera 1 month ago and a macro lens about 1.5 weeks ago so any feedback or anything to help improve these shots would be appreciated.

Ive only done a couple macro shots in the time ive owned the 100mm F2.8 macro as ive been to busy with other stuff.

Bees are some of the most difficult critters that I've photographed. You're off to a good start, but the first image is too centered and the eyes are out of focus. The second image is also centered, and if you continue to shoot the back side of bees people are gonna think you've got an odd fetish ;)

Yeah they are hard to shoot but im getting the hang of it after spending a day chasing a blue banded bee about. They are like a normal honey bee on crack, well some of them.

I took those this morning , i have a couple shots from other angles but they aren't as good but hey im still learning.

Agree with the others - Bees are damn difficult to shoot, which is why I pretty much ignore them now ;)

Welcome to the forum, yeah bees are hard to shoot, but that are so much fun also.:D You've made a great start. My comments on these are no1 crop away a little of the open space to the right. No2 always a little nicer if you can see the eyes.
