What would be a good camera bag for the 30d and canon 24-70 L Lens? I'm considering the Lowepro toploader 70 aw. Looks like it would be big enough. Can't get to a store and try it out. Any other bags that might work better?
Thanks.

I have the Domke F-5XB and really like it. It is perfect for one camera with attached lens.

Ditto that - My 5D/24-70 L combo works well in that. There's even just about enough space to put a 580EX in as well if you need flash (no case, and set the flash head at 0 deg. tilt).

I recently got the Crumpler 6 Million Dollar Home and I'm pretty thrilled with it. I hear that the Domke and Crumpler bags are of similar design and construction. For just a body and one lens mounted (and the assorted little doodads) the Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home would do nicely.
Bags seem to be a very personal thing you can read and look all day. You have to try them, put your gear in them, adjust compartments, and walk around with it a bit to really know if a bag works for you.

Yellow box is an 8xAA carrier from Delkin. Blue thing in the front pocket's a ThinkTank Pixel Pocket Rocket CF holder.

If you like quick access while still on your shoulder, check out the Lowepro Slingshot 200. Plenty of room for the body w/ the 24-70 mounted, and room for a few extra lenses, flash, memcards, etc. ... Much less bulky than the Slingshot 300. Pics of it on the Lowepro sight. You can swing it across your body in about 2 seconds and have access to the camera without taking it off your shoulder.

My 5D and 24-70 2.8 lens fit perfectly in my Toploader 70AW, even with the bulky Op-Tech strap and such. The sliplock system is also great, and I use the chest harness when I take my gear backpacking. I'd definitely recommend it.
