Visiting New York City for shopping!

I am lucky enough to be visiting NYC in December to do some shopping :D
Whilst there I am wanting to purchase a Canon 75/200 F/4L lens and 1.4 or 2X multiplier for my 10D.

Can someone recommend a shop in central New York that would be a good place to go (rather then me just pick a place from the phone book Internet). We don't plan to travel outside of the central city.
Also will I need to pre-order or are they likely to have this lens in stock?

Me personally I hope to be making the pilgrimage to BH at the end of this month, (airlines, weather and business allowing)

Just watch very carefully when their holidays and days of the week are at it will throw most people off if you don't know they follow Jewish holidays versus Christian holidays.
