My comment is one of jealousy.

I like #2 - I like shots that can breathe a bit and think that one looks wonderful. Your pan in #1 might have done better with a bit of a longer exposure, just to get the blur a bit stronger.

But who am I to talk? I haven't hit any motorsports this year!

There are some nice shots in there but you will probably get more comments by posting the photos in the thread instead of just a link to a page of photos.

Haha, I bet I do. Those were just a few good ones I liked. What kind of car was it. I can identify you better by car color and model over number!

it's a red 87 toyota corolla coupe. you can sorta see it in my avatar.. Did you make to the kananaskis rally in November? The next rally is in march based out of cochrane.

I'm moving to Colorado after I graduate college, and I definitely will be checking out rally colorado and the pikes peak rally.

got any info about this rally? (website, brochure)

Haha, they have a website, but lets just say, last time I visited, it hadnt been updated in two years. Just think of it more as a whack load of people with nice cars heading out to nowhere, and racing cars. lol

Right now the site for the cochrane rally is still last years. www.cochranerally.ca will be updated soon. but you can see the map of where it is, pretty much the same location and what not. date will be a bit different.

So I looked at your flickr. Do you shoot for someone, or just travel to events like finland, or compete?

I went to Finland for 3 weeks in the summer to visit Family, and purposely booked my trip so i could go to those 2 rallies in Finland. The F-cup rally was the first rally i had ever shot, and i just had my 30D for about 2 1/2 weeks. The WRC rally was a week after that. I mainly just shoot for me, have sold a couple of shots to some teams. PFR i shot because i was wanting to compete, but couldn't. had a free place to stay and was able to get a media pass. so thats how that happened.

no rush on the photos.. when ever you got a chance.
