Registration?

Is there a place on Canon's web site for me to find out if I registered a lens? My nifty fifty is only 6 months old and it made a grinding noise then stopped focusing. Locked up tight. I'd hate to call Canon and them say "You never registered this"

Canon Service only cares about the reciept.

And only Canon Marketing cares about the registration. IMHO that's a great way to get more junk mail.

No manufacturer has the right to refuse warrantee service if the registration was never filed. It is purely a "statistics" and "marketing" ploy for use by the company.

If you have a 1 yr warranty on your part, then show the receipt and if it is less than 1 yr from the date on the receipt you are good to go.
