am I supposed to be getting this much grain at ISO 200 and 250? The grain on these shots were really bad

Here are the 100% crops...much more grain than I like to see at 200 and 250 ISO

anyone help me out?

#1 and #3 aren't all that bad..but #2 Is horrible (wait, are noise and grain the same thing?)

(wait, are noise and grain the same thing?) No. Noise is mostly seen in dark and/or underexposed areas & is usually multicolored. but #2 Is horrible I think you're expecting too much from your 30D.

If it bothers you that much, get something like Noise Ninja. There's an example in the link I posted.
