Matching Film Colors

I was wondering if anyone has tried to get a work flow to match the color of commonly used films? It just struck me recently that if I can match... say Kodak's Portra 160NC... that I can mix shooting digial and film on the same job.

I doubt I will be able to do this overnight so if you have any helpful words please post them.
