Thanx to all you guys that replied to my post the otherday ..although none of your suggestions worked..I eventually through trial and error found out why I could'nt view the raw thumbs in adobe bridge3 even after the 4.3.1 update plugin..so nice to see it all working and being able to view my raw thumbnails to see what i'm working on,I hate DPP........

now you just need to replace bridge wit Lightroom ;)

I found at least on the Mac platform that Bridge takes more resources right out of the gate in contrast to LightRoom.

Well you have to replace the upgraded raw plugin in the program/comon files/adobe/plugins/cs3/file formats...not only in the program/adobe/cs3/plugin....this solved my problem straight away also need to purge the thumnails cache.....hope this helps
