Here are a few from The EG Awards - music Awards put on by one of the major daily newspapers in Melbourne, The Age.

All shot with 70-200 f2.8L from the crowd. You can see why I love my 70-200!

C&C welcome.

You managed to get your camera into the crowd?

I was asked to shoot the show - I was a guest of the organisers and some of my photos were raffle prizes for a fund raiser for Support Act http://www.supportact.com.au/ a benevolent fund for Australian musicians. There was no photo pit and it was a very crowded show so I got out the long glass and hung back for a change instead of braving the mosh pit.

Ah right thought there would be a good expanation. No hope getting an SLR in glasgow venues without passes.

I really like your photography. Metal is the way forward does not seem to be that many photographers that shoot it.

Gorgeous, Richard! I have a second 70-200mm f/2.8L IS in the mail as we speak ... I've worn my first out so it needs to go back to Canon for repair but I can't live without it ... by far my most used lens as it is clearly the most versatile although not my favorite which is the 300mm f/2.8. #1 seems a clear winner here but I like them all ... I really like head & shoulders as the major part of my concert mix.

I like #4 and 5, but would crop off a few bits and pieces.
