Very difficult lighting to work with as a combination of darkness and strobe lights!
C&C always welcome.

Love to have the images posted a bit bigger. The pictures all have a certain "sameness" about them. Any wider angle? Where are the pictures of the airborne bras? No panties? The last time I shot Tom Jones there was a little old lady (maybe 70) in the front row who couldn't struggle up to the stage so she tried to throw her panties from her seat and they made it about halfway ... the crowd went utterly insane!

I have a few more that are slightly wider angle at home but generally UK magazines are looking for close up of the lead or guiratist / bassist.
Yeah there were panties thrown aswell it is a rather disturbing though when most of the crowd are 16 and under.

I didn't think 16 year olds needed bras! Guess that's why they can throw 'em, eh? :-)

One of my friends asked if they were hot. I had to sidestep the question with the following anwser "as they were all 16 and under my offical answer would be I wasn't looking"
It was an odd crowd. Loads of kids at the barrier moshing away and the old gothic adults standing up the back drinking away.
They are not my taste of music but I must admit they were ok live.

Dwight - with HIM you will find a sameness in the photos. The singer doesn't move much. He's attached to the mic stand and chain smokes! I really like #4. too bad the lighting wasn't better for #3. Ville's eyes are great in that one, just hard to see. The crowd at their shows is very young here too.

Yes he did not move away from the mic for the first 3 songs at all. Yeah it was a really difficult light setup to shoot in.
No matter where I stood there was a light strobing directly at me.
He could not chain smoke at this gig, no smoking in public places in the UK.

we have no smoking in clubs where he played here and he smoked the entire set on stage. go figure.. plus that night, someone got shot outside the club while trying to carjack a car (club off-duty cop shot him) so the club was closed down and patrons couldn't go out to smoke. first time in my many years of going there that this has happened! this is a club where you can go in and out as you please.
