Had a christmas party on the foreshore where I live & had a few live bands.
Took many pictures trying out my recently purchased 50mm & 85mm.
Alas I must have knocked a button or two & bumped my ISO higher than I normally would have it.
Here is one picture I was happy with.
Like to hear some feedback for my first attempt, good & bad.

Looks like some pretty tough lighting.
Exposure is the hardest part and these look to be ok.
Second one looks a little OOF but the other two are nice & sharp.

The colors look great! I think with having two main subjects like that, you really should have them both in focus. Pretty much impossible though with the angle you had and the DOF you were working with. Looks like great exposure, and again, the colors looks very rich.

Blue / Purple lighting like that is never easy to shoot in.
You did a good job though! A little out of focus use a slightly higher iso and faster shutter speed. :)

I had major problems with the lighting as they tended to change colour reguarly (seemed like every 2 seconds lol) & just when the camera was set to shoot with the blue light the white lights came on & everything was way overexposed & vice versa.

You do get used to that. Hard-Fi were quite bad for strobe lights. One of the most difficult gigs I have shot.
Always shoot in raw so you can adjust later in photoshop.

That's a situation to use Evaluative metering (with EC as needed) and Av ;)
You did quite okay though.
Also, I don't agree with the 'both should be in focus' comment, but I do think focus should have been on the front person in this case. So I'd call #2 OoF.
