This newbie to photography and computers asks:

???Is there a relationshop between JPEG2000 and what Canon EOS 300 Digital Rebel does with RAW (I have not yet used RAW.)?

I assume the Canon JPEG LARGE is not the same and JPEG2000.

NOTE:
***I did not know of JPEG2000 until I read that Photoshop Album 2.0 cannot handle it.
???? Do you think there is a plug-in for JPEG2000

***I found the following site helpful in defining JPEG2000 (Though I don't fully understand the contents.)

http://www.aware.com/products/compression/jpeg2000.html

***I have WindowsXP, Photoshop Elements 2.0, Photoshop Album 2.0 and Canon EOS 300 Digital Rebel.

 THANKS

I don't think you want to get too wrapped up in JPEG2000.

It has nothing to do with Canon RAW in any form. It has a little to do with normal JPEG, but it is different yet. So far, I have seen very little support for JPEG2000.

JPEG2000 is a "new" version of compressing images. I claims to be able to store better using less space, but I'm alway skeptical of such claim.

Like Robert said it has nothing to do with what canon currently has, neither RAW or JPEG Large.

JPEG2000 is just a new way of storing images. I image that if it realy lives up to it's hype then you will start seeing support for it graphic applications.
