It's been a few months since I've posted photos here. I shoot The Rocky Horror Picture Show most every weekend, so I normally just share them with the local cast and such. I've been enjoying some better results lately though I think. At this particular show I was primarily playing with the 50mm f/1.4 I got last month, so all photos except one were with that lens. At any rate, the full gallery is online at http://www.austinrocky.org/photos/12012007/ (http://www.austinrocky.org/photos/12012007/index.php) if you're interested. C&C is welcome (I have an opportunity to hopefully improve every weekend usually!).

P.S. My wife was performing as Janet Weiss this particular evening.

The cast should be pretty happy with these. I like the colors.

Beautiful bright colours - and amazingly sharp, given that killer depth of field you have to play with!

Well done!

Beautiful bright colours

I must confess that Lightroom has a lot to do with that. It's part of my S.O.P. now for Rocky Horror photos that they get develop settings of +25 Clarity and +40 Vibrance on import. The Vibrance bump seems to work really well for indoor performance photos, particularly with all the costumes and such.

I think my main open-ended question on post-processing now is white balance. I make occasional white balance adjustments in Lightroom now when photos just look entirely "wrong", and sometimes if I have a couple of photos with similar lighting I'll use the white balance setting from the one I like more and copy it to the other one. But the theatre lighting is so intensely variable (four incandescent floodlights with different colored bulbs up front plus a spotlight with gels) that for the most part I generally just leave it on auto white balance and hope for the best.

Good set. Better then the previous time IIRC.
