Large one needs a ball in the picture. With only rare acceptions you should always have a ball in a sports shot that uses a ball ... Second one is too small to critique properly.

Generally I would agree with KIPAX, the ball is really a key element to most ball sports shots. But it isn't an absolute. The above shot would be better with - but if it's a picture of someone I know, then it can still work fine. But as he said, really it is best if you can snag a shot with the ball.

I'm new here but I'm looking to take soccer pics this season. Cauld you please tell me the camera/lens/location you used to get these shots. I think they look good. How much pp was put into them afterwards?
