He was one of about 100 sanderlings at the river.

That's a nice photo - looks very peaceful! A slightly tighter crop would bring out the bird more.

Very nice image Ira. I like the composition and all the elements in the picture. I agree with the bird being too small in the first one, but I think the second image looses the feel you achieved in the first.
Hope you don't mind I took a stab at it. I went 8x10 proportions, and tried to keep everything important in the image. I scaled it up after the crop, so it's not as sharp as yours, but I think I like it. Your mileage may vary.

Nice one Ira. I like both crops. The first one feels better to me but the second crop is great.

Very good capture. Sanderlings are always on the run so it can be hard to get a good shot. Very well done Ira. :-)
