I gave this picture a blue tint then used lens correction and vignette to darken the edges. I kind of liked it. Was wondering what others think.

It's a little too dark for my liking. Also IMHO I think there is too much dead space at the bottom of the frame. A tighter crop on the deer would make it a more interesting photo. Of course this is my $.02 which will get you everything $.02 would normally get you...;-)

I think there's too little contrast between the deer and the background: my eye is drawn to the snow underneath. Combined with the lack of depth in the deer and background (as you're side on to them and they're in a line), the picture feels flat and lifeless somehow. No real foreground in the shot either: maybe the tree on the left _is_ foreground, but it's out of focus enough and there's little contrast, so the distance isn't clear and it fades into the background. So, while you've captured a very interesting moment, you're not showing it to full potential. I think you can substantially improve the shot with the clever post processing, if you know how to dodge and burn a little, and sharpen here and there, but I also hope you've time to to run around the scene a bit more if you're lucky or patient enough to see such a thing again, and frame it differently. In fairness, I think it would probably looks better in higher resolution, where the detail's sufficient that the brain doesn't have to depend on shading and tone so much to infer depth and single out elements, but a great picture typically looks good in any resolution. Cheers, Tony

Yes it is a little to dark. Here is the original cropped way down. Still not satisfied with it. Don't know what to do to help it. Any suggestions any one.

Thanks Tony, I did some dodgeing and added a little contrast. It did help.
