Hi jpon,

#1: having the bottom of the tree cut off doesn't work so well... try to shoot from closer to the ground, and get the base of the tree into the shot as well, along with the ground to help create more sense of depth and foreground interest.

#2 could use a stronger subject or theme... shadows, roots, moss, trees can all be interesting, but don't do enough here individually or collectively. Again, might do better to get closer to the ground and shoot more horizontally, providing more of a sense of increasing depth throughout the shot - as is it looks kind of flat, with the roots in the foreground not obviously bigger than those behind.

#3 is very nicely done. Having lines disappearing diagonally into three of the corners works very well, and there's a nice range of foreground, midground and background interest and variety of textures. The framing - cropping off the top of the waterfall - is very interesting, with a strong sense of linearity in the falling water.

Cheers,

Tony
