B&H comes through with another lightning fast delivery. Lens (100-400L), UV/Haze and a 22" silver/gold LiteDisk PhotoFlex reflector in the mail today :-) My first official L lens and certainly not my last!

Airshow here I come! Any other Dallas / Ft. Worth folks on the board going to the Alliance air show September 18th / 19th? I'll be there all day on the 19th and can get tickets for 1/3 price.

300D / 28-75 F2.8 / 100-400L / 100mm f2.8 Macro / 18-55 kit / 420EX / Battery Grip / SanDisk Extreme 512 cards / B+W MRC filters / SD110 Elph P&S / 18% grey card (important!) / Manfrotto stuffs

Thanks for mentioning the humble P&S you presumably used to capture the shot of your new equipment. For all of our fancy and expensive equipment, we still need these little guys to get the job done when it really counts. :)

Prop that little Digital Elph about 50 feet away (perhaps on a tree branch) and give us some pics of it using your new 100-400L.

LOL I know. Cheapo little thing is great for the wife (plus it's the Coach edition so she can't say I never did anything for her!)

And I love the rocket launcher comment...

Your tripod must be one of the most sturdy ones around. That setup must weigh a ton.

Just using a monopod! Lucky for me the Digital Rebel has a cheap plastic body

Nice diffusor. Does it work well? Where did you get it?

That's the lumiquest pocket bouncer. Someone reviewed it on this site so I had to go out and buy one. It really does a great job at softening and widening the lighting area. Iuse it pretty much 100% of the time I'm shooting my kids or other portraits.

(I obviously wouldn't be using it as pictured, with a 400mm focal length!)
