Thanks Lance :)
Yes using the 40D is no problem but don't think I've quite got the RAW processing/ PP correct yet as I'm having to use a different RAW processor.

Very nice set Brian springtails are my favourite, going to brave the cold in a bit and get some frost shots.

Yes the 40D does have the anti dust thingy - It does it when you turn it on and apparently when you turn it off. Last one is a bit annoying as I'm used to turning off the camera and removing the CF card immediately so I keep on stopping it mid shake :)
The camera came with 4 spots on it that haven't moved (probably oilly stuff)

Theres probibly a custom function to turn the anti shake on power down off?

Nice series Brian, really like the Hoverfly shots. What RAW convertor did you use (I presume DPP).

Another great set of shots - very surprised to see the hovers after the frosts we have had, but you may not have had such severe frost as slightly further inland.

That springtail is soooo cute!

Great shots Brian. I particularly like the spingtail. Don't you love getting a nice, pristine sensor.;)

Thanks for looking and commenting everyone - much appreciated.

Dave- Yes I'm using DPP for the RAW conversion -seem to be getting reasonable results.

Irwin - Yes would be nice to get a pristine sensor (this has got 4 minor blobs on it as it came from the factory).

Those window gnats are odd- they either fly off as soon as you go near them or they just sit there posing like that one.
