Nathan, you have a great eye. You have some great action shots here but they seem to be just a hair too dark for my personal taste. Again, tastes in exposure differs so please know that I am not knocking your images because they are great.

Thanks ! I know that my eye likes the slightly underexposed my images, I wonder who else feels this way? Thanks for the comment.

thanks everyone else.

Keep the comments comming. And please feel free to criticize. I wont take it personally and it will help me grow.

These were taken in Clearwater, FL

Wow.. I was hoping that I was going to get slammed with criticism here.. something...

Come on folks :)

Maybe I need to put cheerleading in the subject...

I like the pans.

I also think theyre maybe a hair too dark (and I like dark pictures haha!)

And am I the only one who thinks 1-5 all look a little bit soft? Its like #1 seems soft all over to me, #2 the riders shoe (and anything else in the DOF) is clear, but his hands/arms/helmet all seem soft to me, #3 it looks like her butt is sharp because you can really see the wrinkles in the shorts but everything forward of that looks soft...

I dont know. Maybe its just me and Im crazy about sharpness haha. Who knows.

Whatever the case, I do like them :)

#3,#4 could be sharper, but #7, I can see the skin peeling from the guy's thighs so that's pretty sharp if I can see that.

Thanks for the comments...

I am crazy about sharpness too. I agree about #1, it seems a bit soft. A few of the others too it looks like the object is passing through the area of focus when the shutter was snapped.

Good panning. I've never shot cyclists, but I wonder about cropping out their feet as you have. I try not to do that in other sports, but people aren't attached to a machine in most other sports I have tried.

I think the "brightness" is fine, but I tend to like darker photos, too.

Very nice! Was this IMFl? The crop on #6 is too tight for me. Love #7.

Forget about putting cheerleading in the subject; put it in the pictures.

So, you want to be slammed with criticism? What are you, a glutton for punishment? ;)

The shots are great considering the time of day. Transition pictures are always good but hard to get sometimes.

thanks everyone, I am rather new to this and enjoy everyones comments. I figure it will make me better to hear the criticism from you all. Plus, the pressure is low since you don't know me from Adam :)

Check out my gallery, it has some more pics. I will post this years IRL race later..
