In a world of G9's let me just say....

That I love my G5!!!! I've had it for 4 years and it has never failed me and takes excellent pictures!
My favorite thing is the close-up ability this thing has. The only situation I've come across that is limiting to the G5 is low light....Other than that its perfect!!

Now I also have a 20D but I still find myself jumping back to the trusty G camera because its so easy to use, takes great pictures and you don't need a $1000 lens to make it perform. Thanks for all the memories G5........:lol:

So, I've been enjoying my Fuji F10, but feel the G9 would offer me more.

Unfortunately, one of the 'more' is noise.

Anyone have any idea as to when Canon might introduce the next G?

I have a G5 too. Honed my manual exposing skills on that camera since I was never satisfied with its auto metering. Unfortunately I dropped it once on the lens while it was extended. Cost a lot to fix and it has never auto focused them same since. I usually have to do that manual as well now.
