I tried for about 6 hours to make this look good, what does everyone think?

I want it to be good but I can't help but think that is is uninteresting. This is a crane I think in a rice Field in S. Korea. I spent hours sneaking around the fields here trying to get a good one and then hours trying to make the colors look right. I wish that nature wasn't so green.

I like it!
The crop is nice and the colors are natural.

I like it too--it's not the typical bird headshot.

I don't know what the grass looks like in that area of the world, so I assume it's accurate.

I like it except for the 's' shaped grass blade just to the right of the bird. My eye goes right to it, so stomp that sucker flat! There's a long straight one just to the left of it's beak, too. (Cloning is acceptable!)

I'd like to see a bit of "life" in the grass, too - maybe just a bit greener? I'm not sure.

The green is too dull. Increased the saturation a little. Cloned away that funny grass on teh right and flipped the total and cropped a little tighter.

i would say you have over saturated that (for my liking) and the crop is to tight...

nice original post i think...

Crop is a matter of taste, but I think the green is not even green enough. Ever seen a rice padi? It's as green as green can get.

There is not enough green in the entire world to make you understand how green these rice fields are. I dulled it down to increase the contrast between the rice and the bird. I may have done so to the extent that it looks like a cloudy day. Like I said, I struggled with this one and spend too much time looking at it, but I still can't agree with myself.
