Creative Muvo 5gb Drive

Remember the 4gb drives in the Creative Muvo mp3 player, well Creative have launched a 5gb model using the Seagate new 1-inch ST1 5GB micro drive and although Creative say it won't work the above website seems to have proved them wrong. One thing to note from the text, the Seagate drive is not availble to the retail market yet so no prices are known, it may be the case that when the drive is released you may not have to go about wrecking mp3 players :lol:

For those unfamilar, the Muvo 4GB had the same sort of "deal" a 4GB MD drive for $200.00 (roughly)

The hitch was that they were impossible to actually find (due mostly to this "hack") and when they finally did hoit the streets.. the MD drive had been altered in firmware reulting the drives not functioning in most cameras.

So.. though this can be a fabulous bargain.. don't get your hopes up to high.. by the time we see these Muvo's in other marlets.. the hack may not be possible.

Oh yes.. I have one.. and the 4GB drive is used in my MkII regularly! :mrgreen:
