S30 AC Adapter vs. Flash Reader

Please tell me if there is a flaw in my logic regarding accessories for my new S30:
I'm thinking that if I buy the compact flash reader and I have the extra battery, I don't really need the AC Adapter. Any thoughts?

I have 2 sets of batteries and a large CF card. Works for me.

It would be cool if the ac adapter powered the camera and trickle charged the batteries at the same time, but that will never happen

Yeah, I really don't see any need for the AC adapter, even without a CF card reader or the extra battery. If the camera runs out of juice while you're downloading, the pictures will still be safe on the CF card.
