the 19th -24th and I'm going to have some free time in evenings and on the weekend.

I'll be staying downtown and I'm hoping to spend the Saturday wandering around and photographing the city. I probably won't have a car, so everything will be on foot if the weather cooperates. I'm not into street photography, but I like cityscapes and water fronts. I also like parks and architectural subjects.

Are there any 'must see' places? I usually shoot with a tripod. I know some places have restrictions about tripods. Any of these in Montreal? Also, are there any security restrictions these days regarding off-limits subjects?

Thanks!

If you are anywhere in Canada in October look for the sugar maples.

Miles of orange yellow and red leaves - well worth a photo or two.

I sent you one too. If Ian tells you that he knows where the deer are.... you might want to take this with a grain of salt.

If you're staying downtown, you'll be very close to Old Montreal ... I set aside a day for shooting here on a trip last year ... and still would have liked more time ...

cheers ... and enjoy ...
