Thinking about heading up to Richmond next week and shooting at the Aviation Museum. Are there any other photo locations I should hit up while I am in town there?

Oh, man, there's all kinds of stuff. The state Capitol, Shockoe Bottom, the James River, Belle Isle, architecture in the Fan, Monument Avenue, Carytown, Church Hill, Maymont Park, Jackson Ward, etc. The list continues. For examples, here are some of mine from around the city, just scratching the surface: Flickr: Richmond (http://www.flickr.com/photos/lifein2x3/sets/72157601555281414/)
What do you like to shoot? What turns your photographic crank?

Forgive my chiming in but that's a helluva fire shot in your Richmond gallery...
I work with a guy who is from Richmond and whenever we're there, he'll drive us past the old Confederate Capitol and dryly add: "See that building? A lot of really bad decisions were made there..." I laugh my *ss off every time...
It's a great town. Not to crazy about getting in and out of Richmond Intl Raceway but the rest of the visit is always fun...

Wait. What do you mean, *were*? ;)
I like to call Monument Avenue the "Avenue of Second-Place Trophies", just to piss the locals off. :D
Oh, and thanks about the fire shot. I had a dinky little Nikon Coolpix 2100 on me and was running late for class. That event got me into photojournalism.
